This year, 2025, has been challenging, but I’m focusing on gratitude. Right after Christmas, our son caught the flu—a situation every parent knows too well. When your little one gets sick, it’s almost inevitable that the parents will follow suit. Unfortunately, the flu shot didn’t offer much protection this time around.
On top of that, our daycare plans fell through when the provider oversold her capacity, leaving our deposit wasted and us back on the hunt for childcare.
Even with all that, I’m still grateful. We have our home, and our hearts go out to our friends and family in the L.A. area who are facing sleepless nights due to the devastating Palisades wildfire. It’s been rough for many, and we’re sending peace and strength to all.
